Anti-Climb Paint
Anti Climb Paint (also sometimes known as anti vandal, anti burglar, anti-scale
or anti-intruder paint) is a thick glutinous coating that is applied with a
stiff brush, trowel or by hand using a protective glove. In appearance anti
climb paint is similar to smooth gloss paint when applied but it remains
slippery indefinitely so preventing any intruder from gaining a foothold.
NVP's Anti Climb Paint is a tried and tested high
quality product with excellent durability. It continues to work in hot or cold
weather conditions adhering to the surfaces to which it is applied. Anti-Climb
Paint can be used on brick, cement, wood, metal, asbestos cement, roof tiles,
plastic and most other building materials. It is particularly effective on
walls, parapets, boundary fences, down pipes, lamp standards and roofs. It can
be used on factory sites, sports clubs, churches, schools and to protect private
properties, garden sheds etc.
Crime Prevention Officers recommend anti-climb
paint as a valuable method of protecting property. The Police know about
situations that are at risk from intruders and their opinion should be sought
when considering measures to be taken to protect property. This type of product
makes straight-forward climbing almost impossible and detection is made easier
when the offender has hands and clothing covered in this tell-tale product that
is difficult to remove.

Our Anti-Climb Paint is an excellent deterrent. Adventurous children and
potential law -breakers coming into contact with a surface coated with NVP
Anti-Climb Paint will think twice before proceeding. It is difficult to remove
from hands and clothing but is non-toxic. Anyone coming into contact with NVP
Anti-Climb Paint is going to be seriously contaminated. For this reason surfaces
less than 2.0 metres from ground level should not be coated. Prominent warning
signs are available (click here) and should be affixed to an adjoining vertical
surface so as to be easily seen and to act as a further deterrent.
Safety
Handle with care. Before and during use observe all safety labels on packaging
and containers. If in doubt consult Material Safety Data Sheets and follow all
local or national safety regulations.
Warning
Use only where legitimate or normal access is not permitted. We strongly
recommend that a clear warning notice is displayed (available from NVP
online-shop in a variety of sizes).
We recommend that it is applied at least 2 metres above ground or normal access
level. Whilst it is not toxic we advise that care is taken to ensure that it is
not put in areas used regularly by pets. Contact with anti-climb paint may
damage clothing and other fabrics.
