Your First Lesson

Complete beginners who have little knowledge of Karate can naturally be apprehensive about taking the first step and going to their first lesson.

Everyone in all of our classes have been through this experience and know what it feels like.

Everyone in all of our classes therefore make newcomers welcome and do their best to help them feel at ease.

Your first lesson will consist of an induction where you learn at your own speed some basic moves you can practise at home.  You will have your own instructor for this first lesson and they will ensure you learn safely.

This first lesson is FREE and gives you an insight into what to expect at future lessons.

What to wear - You will need to wear loose fitting clothes like tracksuit bottoms and a sweatshirt. Once you have taken a few lessons you will need to purchase a karate uniform know as a Gi. All uniforms and equipment can be purchased from us.

If you decide you like Karate and want to continue we will work out a training programme for you and you will quickly be able to join in with all of our classes helped by your more experienced classmates and instructors.

For a FREE induction class contact us here ………………….

"The hardest part of Karate is walking in to the room the first time, I entered expecting a room full of scary Black Belts all waiting to show me how hard they can kick me. The truth was quite the opposite. The room was full of "normal" people of various grades who had all made the same desision as me. I was made to feel very welcome and nine months on, I am now in training for my fouth belt. I see new people coming in every week - most stay, they realise they are learning a great skill with a great set of people"  John - 40
